I'll take the change

I absolutely love this time of year with the changing of the colors, the falling leaves, and the crisp air. Yes, I know it also is a stark reminder that winter is right around the corner. However, it also reminds us that change is part of life. My hair, my weight, my eyesight, my energy, and my stamina have all changed over time; I certainly am not as energetic as I was at 27. The bible says that time and chance happens to us all; but what we do, determines the final product. As we place our lives, dreams, past, and future in His Hands, we are assured He orders our steps and controls our destiny. In 1 Kings 2 it says, When David’s time to die approached, he charged his son Solomon, saying, “I’m about to go the way of all the earth, but you—be strong; show what you’re made of! Do what God tells you. Walk in the paths he shows you: Follow the life-map absolutely, keep an eye out for the signposts, his course for life set out in the revelation to Moses; then you’ll get on well in whatever you do and wherever you go. So, as we transition from summer to fall and fall to winter, remember we are also changing from who we are to what He wants us to be. Don’t be afraid of change, just trust in the One who is leading and guiding you into all Truth.
