Lee Ann Alexander — Day Clinician

Lee Ann Alexander has been a force in renovating children’s ministry material for the church. As associate editor of the UPCI, her input and work with the team at the Pentecostal Publishing House has resulted in curriculum enhancements that incorporate feedback from churches as well as the launch of an Apostolic VBS. Each year she travels to share the vision of teaching to the heart for spiritual transformation, and in so doing she collects input from churches to shape teaching materials. In addition to her background in writing and teaching, she is completing her master’s degree in theological studies from UGST.

Her topics for InF18 are:

Teaching to Reach the Heart — We’re all determined to make lifelong disciples—students of all ages who will thrive in the church. This session presents four instrumental strategies that can help us move beyond conveying information and instead open a door for God to transform our students’ affections.

What I Wish I’d Known about Teaching — Effective teachers are constantly absorbing tips to grow in their calling, but what about the surprises nobody tells you about? This session explores less-discussed aspects of teaching like what to do when you don’t like a student or when a lesson bombs, candidly discussing ten such realities and how to deal with them.
